Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an alloy having superior corrosion resistance to a molten Zn bath and a molten Al bath by alloying a specified amount each of Ni, Co, Cr, W, Mo, Ti and B.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy consists of 10W90% Ni, 0W30% Co, 1W30% Cr,0W 30% W, 0W30% Mo, 0W5% Ti and 1W10% B. It is spray-coated and overlaid on the surface of a metallic material used in a molten Zn bath or a molten Al bath. This alloy very hardly undergoes corrosion due to molten Zn or molten Al and has high mechanical strength and high temp. toughness, so it is spray-coated and overlaid on the surface of a vibrator, a metallic material for electromagnetic agitation or the like used in a molten Zn bath or a molten Al bath to prevent the corroding action of molten Zn or molten Al.
