Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal expansion regulating material preventing deterioration in the characteristics due to diffusion by forming an Mo or W layer at the interface between the Fe-Ni alloy and Cu phases of a composite formed body prepared by mixing Fe-Ni alloy powder with Cu powder.
CONSTITUTION: Fe-Ni alloy powder surface-coated with Mo or W is mixed with Cu powder in a prescribed ratio and compressed. The green compact is sintered and repeatedly subjected to rolling and annealing to form a composite formed body. The Fe-Ni alloy powder is powder of an Fe-36W42% Ni alloy, and the Cu powder is powder of high purity Cu with ≥100% electric conductivity. The usually Mo or W coating method is electroplating or chemical plating. Thus, high electric conductivity and low thermal expansion can be ensured.
