Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the temperature rise almost uniform along the whole column and raise quality of printed letter by providing electro-magnetic driving devices which are positioned near the center of the column direction with temperature rise higher than those near both ends of the column direction with concentrated cooling in a printing machine that prints letters with printing hammers. CONSTITUTION:An air flow rate regulating plate 4 that is installed at the rear of a hammer mounting plate 3 is provided with a plurality of holes 5 piercing through the plate 4. The number of the holes 5 is small near the both ends in the column direction and large in the center of the column direction. Accordingly the cooling air from a cooling fan 6 hits more electro-magnets 2 at the center of the column direction with the result of almost uniform temperature rise of the electro-magnets along the whole column. Rectangular holes 50 in place of circular holes can be used, and also several fans with different air flow volumes can be installed.
