Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the distortion of printing caused by air resistance by a device wherein a part of deflection electrode plate is tilted in parallel with the flying direction of ink drips and an airflow is made to accompany flying drips in their flying direction. CONSTITUTION:On the side of one deflection electrode plate, for instance, on 6a, a tilted electrode plate 6a' is provided nearly in parallel with the flying direction of charged ink drips 13 and an airflow B is made to run in parallel with the tilted electrode plate, accompanying the flying of ink drips. Moreover, plural number of air-discharging nozzles 7a, 7b and 7c may be provided in a gutter for adding to the airflow B' produced by discharging the air sent by a pipe 42 from the these nozzles. Since the airflow works in parallel with flying ink drips for printing, it gives no change to the flying route of ink drips and, moreover, can make smaller tha air resistance to the flying ink drips. Accordingly, the combination of preceding and following drips into one can be eliminated nearly at all.
