Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the attachment of fine ink drop, dust or the like to the deflecting electrode plate of an inkjet printer and remove attendant troubles by means of a blow duct and a recovery duct separately provided in front of and behind deflecting electrode plates of an inkjet printer. CONSTITUTION:A blow duct 22 and a recovery duct 23 are provided in front of and behind a flat electrode plate 21 below a pair of deflecting electrode plates to cunter the flying of ink drop. Each duct is provided with thin slits 24 and 25 along the width of the deflecting plate and air delivered by the blower so as to cover the surface of the flat electrode in an air flow 21 like a thin film. With such an arrangement, undesired ink other than printing ink particles, dust or the like are all recorvered into the recovery duct 23 with an aid of the air flow 26 thereby preventing attachment thereof to the deflecting electrode plate.
