Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subjected ink jet printer allowing high speed all surface printing in high print quality and compact of unit by arranging a plurality of charge control type unit, employing common deflection electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Nozzle 1 for jetting ink, charge device for charging jetted ink drops in response to image information signal and two pairs of X deflection electrodes 4,4' and Y deflection electrodes 3,3' formed by two pairs electrodes and of different electrostatic field direction are arranged and ink drops of which charge amount is previously controlled are passed in the electrostatic field formed by the two pairs of electrodes 3,3' and 4,4' and deflected to horizontal and vertical directions to generate stairs between non-printing level and printing level. The printing level in horizontal direction is changed and the printing level in vertical direction is always kept in determined value.
