Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the attitude of a hull and to prevent the hull from slamming by a method wherein some stabilizing blades are protruded at suitable vertical intervals, under the hull part near the bow and stern part and above the designed water line.
CONSTITUTION: An upper hull 3 on the water-level supported through supporting columns 2 is provided on a pair of right and left lower barrels 1 beneath the water level, while several parallel stabilizing blades 6 are installed on the joint parts of the supporting columns 2 and the upper hull 3, above the designed water-line and at suitable vertical intervals. Moreover, there is a hydrofoil 4 on each of the lower barrel bodies 1. Thus, the bow part sinks at a certain speed but when the stabilizing blades 6 which are arranged beneath the upper hull 3 and above the designed water- line 5 sink under the water, upward lift begins to operate and, therefore, the bow part is prevented effectively from sinking.
