Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the low part or the stern part from plunging into the water because of speed changes of a boat by a method wherein a stabilizing blade slanting to the water level is provided under the upper boat body near the bow and the stern part and above the designed water line.
CONSTITUTION: The upper hull 3 on the water-level supported through supporting columns 2 is provided on a pair of right and left lower barrel 1 beneath the water- level while near the low part under the upper hull 3 and above the designed water line 5 are provided stabilizing blade 6 which is laterally symmetrical to the central surface of the hull and slant to the planned water line 5. The central part of the stabilizing blade 6 is supported by a supporting plate 7 while a hydrofoil 4 is fixed to each lower hull 1. Thus, if the low part should sink, the stabilizing blade 6 sinks and lift acts upward to prevent the low part from sinking. The stabilizing blade 6 can be fixed not only under the bow part but under the stern part also.
