Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled alloy excellent in creep rupture strength, toughness and weldability by admixing specified component ratios of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, Nb, Mo and N to iron component.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy is prepared which consists of 0.10W1.16% of C, up to 1.0% of Si, up to 1.5% of Mn, 17W23% of Cr, 32W35% of Ni, 0.3W0.7% of Nb, up to 0.1% of Mo, up to 0.08% of N and the balance consisting essentially of Fe. The alloy is a material suitable for heat-resisting parts such as trays and pots which are used under repeated heating and cooling, and for heat-resisting parts such as reaction pipes and thick-walled welded structures to be used in the environment where thermally moderating stress operates.
