Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize the deviation for the target weight of cut ingots by estimating and correcting the cutting length for the next cutting steel ingot from the target weight and length of the cut ingot as well as the actually measured weight and actually measured length of the cut ingot.
CONSTITUTION: An instruction weight and an instruction length are stored in a central control device 14, and the length measurement for cutting of the n-th slab is made with a length measuring device 11 together with the cutting start signal. When the length measurement is finished, a cutting command is sent to a torch cutter; at the same time the length measurement of the n+1st slab is started. When the n slab is cut, a weighing device 12 makes weighing by the outputs of photoelectric transducers 13AW13D. The actually measured length and actually measured weight of the n-th slab are supplied to the central control device 14, and from the value stored therein, the actual measurement correction coefft. For the n-th slab is obtained, further from the previous actually measured value, the estimation correction coefft. for the n+1st slab is obtained. This value is displayed in an input device 15, whereby the instructed cutting length is corrected.
