Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic navigating device with a low cost, by calculating the discrepancy of course from the signals sent from a loran receiver for measurement of present position of own ship and a device which sets the loran time difference signal of the position of destination and performing a correction of the course. CONSTITUTION:The loran time difference signal between the start position and the present position obtained by a loran receiver is supplied to an arithmetic part along with the loran time difference signal given from a destination setter. Thus the approximate value is calculated for the discrepancy of course, and furthermore a calculation is carried out for the correction of the course with use of the arithmetic output to perform a correction of the course. For instance, the loran time difference signal between the start and present positions of a loran receiver 9 for measurement of the position of own ship plus the signal sent from a destination position setter 8 are processed at an arithmetic part 7 to calculate the approximate value for the discrepancy of course. Then the output of this calculation is used to obtain an angle for correction of the course through an arithmetic part 6, and a correction is given to a course setter 1. Thus steering mechanisms 2 and 3 are controlled to give a correction to the course of a ship 4 which is receiving the external force F.
