Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the steaming of a vessel along a predetermined course by employing not only a direction signal, but also a navigation course signal and a nevigation speed signal simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: A terminal 7 in which the true steaming direction (θ+α) is inputted by a Doppler sonar and another terminal 8 in which the aimed direction θ is inputted by a destination direction setting apparatus are provided and the signals from these input terminals are given subtraction by a subtracting apparatus 9, thus the difference α between both input signals being found out. The difference a thus obtained is supplied to an arc sine operator 10 and the output from this and a signal 12 of the vessel's movement are sent to a multiplier 11, while the output from the multiplier 11 is operated through the intermediary of an integrator 13 and a PID operator, thus the steaming direction β to be modified being determined. Then, the difference 3 between the output β and a gyro input signal 1 is found out, thereby the control of steaming of the vessel is performed.
