Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart sufficient frictional charge to one-component type insulation- characteristic developing powder and make possible uniform developing with simple constitution by frictionally charging said developing powder with a member having a predetermined polymer and performing developing.
CONSTITUTION: A one-component type insulation characteristic magnetic toner 11 is thinly coated on a sleeve 4b at thin thickness by a blade 10. The toner 11 having many rubbing chances by this thin layer coating is sufficiently frictionally charged because the sleeve 4b is formed of a homopolymer of vinyl chloride or vinyl-ester- base monomer dehydration-condensated of acid and vinyl alcohol or copolymer with other monomer. Hence, the latent image of the photosensitive drum 1 opposing to the sleeve 4b at a gap wider than the toner coating layer thickness of said sleeve is uniformly developed by the one-component type insulation-characteristic developing powder with the simple constitution.
