Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of various spuriousness, by specifying ratios of length (l) and width (w) to thickness (t) in the rectangular AT cut quartz oscillator having the legnth and the width in the X-axis direction and the Z'-axis direction, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular AT cut quartz oscillator having the length and the width in the X-axis direction and the Z'-axis direction respectively is formed. Ratios of length (l) and width (w) to thickness (t) of the oscillator are specified to 6.0<l/t<14.5 and 3.8<w/t<4.4. As a result, an oscillator is obtained which has the superior frequency temperature characteristic peculiar to the AT cut quartz oscillator and is very small in comparison with the conventional oscillator.
