Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a superior composite quartz oscillator characteristic, by giving a changed section to the tip of the arm part of a tuning fork quartz oscillator in the Y axis direction and by reducing oscillation displacement in the holding part and the part near it to suppress the Q value and oscillation leakage. CONSTITUTION:A changed section is given to the tip of the arm part of tuning fork quartz oscilltor 4 in the Y axis direction. Therefore, oscillation displacement near holding part 5 and in holding part 5 is reduced, and not only the Q value and oscillation leakage dependent upon holding are suppressed but also the shock-proof property and so on are good because of a comparatively simple external form, so that a superior composite quartz oscillator characteristic can be obtained.
