Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a highly-precise and long-life tuning-fork type vibrator for an electronic wrist watch by adjusting a resonance frequency by providing a convex part to the vibrator, in addition to vapor-deposited silver at this tip, root, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Main body 5 of a tuning-fork type crystal vibrator, making use of a combination of basic vibration F0 of flectional vibration and basic vibration T0 of twist vibration, is provided with electrode 6 and plug 7; silver 8 is vapor-deposited on the tops of its tuning fork arms, convex part 9 is made at the root of the tuning fork, and silver 10 is also vapor-deposited in the convex part and at its root. Here, the vibrator is provided concave part 9 and silver pieces 8 and 10 at the tops and root are used for weights for a resonance frequency afjustment. Consequently, a highly-precise and long-life tuning-fork vibrator for an electronic wrist watch can be obtained.
