PURPOSE:To make constant a power amount applied to a heat element and eliminate unevenness in density irrespective of changes in applied voltage, by a method wherein a current loading time is controlled by comparing an integral value of the applied voltages with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A current loading time to heat generating resistors R1-R1728 at a dot section is determined by an ON time of AND gates A1-A216 connected to bases of switching transistors Tr1-Tr216. That is, after a flip-flop FF is set, AND gates A1-A216 are turned ON, and a specific heat generating resistance part is energized with No.2 transistors TrG1-TrG8 ON. Simultaneously, a transistor FET becomes OFF, and an integral voltage is produced in a capacitor C1. When the integral voltage reduces gradually and comes down to below a reference voltage, then the flip-flop becomes OFF through the output of a comparator COM, and the capacitor C1 is cleared simultaneoulsy when the AND gates A1-A216 becomes OFF.
