CONSTITUTION:When a motor winding 13 is switched from star connection to delta connection for starting, a heater 11 for a resistance protecting thermal overcurrent relay is connected in series to a resistor 9 connected to the motor winding 13 in series or parallel. When the time for switching the motor winding 13 from star connection to delta connection passes a given time, the overcurrent relay operates to release a main electromagnetic contactor, therefore the resistor 9 can be protected from overheating and burning.
