Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a remote controller by eliminating the need for a heat sink, etc., by providing a protecting circuit and final safety device for higher safety and then by using an electromagnetic relay as a switching unit.

In parallel to heating unit 4, thyristor 38 serving as a protective device is provided. This thyristor 38 turns ON, when contact 30B of relay coil 30A fuses or main thyristor 33 gets out beyond control, to make temperature fuse 7 blow out for safety. Further, when thyristor 38 does not operate, fusion layer 6 fuses to set a short state between heating unit 4 and signal line 5. Then, resistance 44 heats up with a short current to fuse temperature fuse 7, so that the appliance will be at safety.
