Abstract
PURPOSE: To need not for the key switch to be kept at the glow position by a rider at starting the engine by a method wherein a switching circuit permitting a glow plug to be passed through with currents apart from the key switch and a timer to be started, is formed in the starting system of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: The switching circuit in which a self-returning type push switch 13, a coil 14a of a relay 14 with a self-holding device and a neutral switch 15 are connected in series is inserted between a glow contact (GLOW) of the key switch 1 and the power source 2. On pressing the push switch 13, a relay 3 is closed to allow the currents to be passed through the glow plug 4 and also the timer to be started, and after the set time of the glow has passed, the timer 5 functions to close relays 18, 20 and start the engine. Whereby since the glow can be finished only by turning the switching circuit ON, the rinder needs not to hold the key switch at the glow position at the cold starting.
