Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold temperature of a glow plug to preset temperature, by allowing a timer, provided with a triggering short time, to electric conduction control the glow plug when temperature, detected from the glow plug that causes electromotive force at its nonconduction, reaches not more than prescribed temperature.
CONSTITUTION: When a key switch S is closed, electric conduction is caused with the first timer 1 to flow an electric current in a glow plug 10 through an electromagnetic relay 6. After the time elapsed in the timer 1, the electric conduction, being stopped to the glow plug, causes its temperature to lower. The glow plug 10 produces thermoelectromotive force when it is not electrically conducted, then a decrease of temperature in the glow plug is detected by a detector circuit 2 with said electromotive force, causing a timer 3 to perform electric conduction to flow a current for a certain time in the glow plug through the electromagnetic relay 6. In this way, the temperature of the glow plug can be controlled to constant.
