Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid level detector which prevents malfunctioning due to vibration, by a method wherein a time circuit, which generates output only when a liquid level switch works during the continuous and longer time than a given time, is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A timer circuit 4, which generates output only when a liquid level switch 3 for cooling water for an engine and the like actuates during a longer time than a specific time, is mounted, and an output circuit 5 for detecting the output of the timer circuit 4 is coupled to an output terminal of a generating coil 11 through a connector 6. The output of the generating coil 11 is usually charged in a capacity 13 through a diode 12, and a thyristor 16 is energized by means of a control signal circuit 17 to ignite an ignition plug 15 through an ignition coil 14. When the liquid level is lowered and it works during a longer time than a given time, the timer circuit 4 generates output, and the output circuit 5 shorts the opposite ends of the generating coil 11. This prevents the ignition of the ignition plug and permits the detection of lowering of the liquid level.
