Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the plug of an ignition circuit from wetting on an motorcycle by a method wherein a starting circuit is connected with the power source through a relay which is shut when a side stand is stored and opened when it is not stored.
CONSTITUTION: When a clutch is connected, a change gear is placed in a nonneutralization state and the motorcycle is allowed to start without storing the side stand, a side stand switch 4, a clutch switch 10, a neutralization switch 11 are all opened. Though a main switch 2 is opened, a relay 3 does not operate and a contact point 3a continues to open, therefore, a starting circuit and the ignition circuit 9 are kept open. Thus, since a starter motor 8 does not operate though a starter switch is shut, the plug does not wet. When the side stand is stored, the switch 4 is shut, therefore, the relay 3 operates, the contact point 3a is shut, each circuit 5, 7 are shut. If the switch 7 is shut, the engine starts.
