Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a start switch having small size and light weight inexpensively for a single-phase induction motor by connecting a normally closed relay contact in series with a bimetal contact operated by a current flowing through an auxiliary winding and connecting an exciting coil in parallel with the series circuit. CONSTITUTION:This start switch has a main winding connected in parallel with an auxiliary winding 2, a starting switch 5 connected in sersies with the auxiliary winding, a relay contact 7 connected in series with the bimetal contact 6 of the switch, and an exciting coil 8 connected in parallel with the series circuit of the bimetal contact 6 and the relay contact 7. The contact is normally closed, and is opened when predetermined current flows through the contact 6 after predetermined time and is automatically reset upon completion of predetermined time. It can exactly start the switch with a simple configuration and has small size and light weight inexpensively as a start switch.
