Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a driving safety at a high speed through the automatic switching operation which is performed corresponding to a car speed, by a method wherein a car height is reduced by exhausting pressured air fed to a buffer when a car speed exceeds a given value, and the above operations are conducted in a reverse manner when the car speed is below the given value. CONSTITUTION:Pressured air generated by a compressor 22 driven from an engine is fed to buffers 1A-1D through switch valves 28, 29A and 29B. Car height is detected by means of sensors 31A and 31B, and signals from said sensors processed by a CPU33 control an electromagnetic valve 26, a switch valve 28 and the like mounted at the compressor 22 and a pressure accumulator 27. When a switch 32A for a car height control set in a car height control operation switch group 32 is turned on, a speed information measured by a speedometer 3 is input to the CPU33, and an exhaust valve is opened when a car speed exceeds a given value, for exampl, 75km/H. Then, lines 29A and 29B are opened, and the pressure in the buffers 1A- 1D are exhausted for reducing a car height.
