Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a creep force constant by controlling the variation in a clutch opening in accordance with the variation in engine load and carrying out creep control. CONSTITUTION:By judging whether a throttle opening is below a defined value or not and, when above the define value, a basic control is performed since this is not a creep condition. On the other hand, when the throttle opening is below the defined value, since this is the creep condition, it is detected whether there is variation in engine load due to the operation of brakes or an air conditioner, etc. When there is no variation in engine load, a basic control can be carried out, setting a target clutch opening (the solid line A) corresponding to the throttle opening and vehicle speed. Contrary to this, when variation occurred in the engine load, the target clutch opening is corrected as is previously set in accordance with the type of the load, controlling the variation in the opening of a clutch valve.
