Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the environment for the operator and also prevent idling operation at the time of light work by permitting the engine r.p.m. to be varied according to the load through control of the vehicle speed with a throttle lever.
CONSTITUTION: After a bulldozer has been started to run at a constant speed with a throttle lever 1 set at a predetermined position, when the vehicle speed is reduced with a load applied to a blade, a differential signal Δe corresponding to the reduction of the vehicle speed is produced from a control unit 9. According to this input signal e an actuator 4 controls the aperture of a throttle valve 3 to increase the r.p.m. of an engine 2 so as to control the vehicle speed to a specified speed. On the other hand, when the vehicle speed is excessively increased with disappearance of the load, the control unit 9 produces a differential signal e, and according to this signal e the actuator 4 closes the throttle valve 3 to reduce the r.p.m. of the engine 2, so that the bulldozer is run at the specified speed.
