Abstract
948,463. Operating railway points. WESTINGHOUSE AIR BRAKE CO. June 22, 1960 [June 26, 1959], No. 21813/60. Heading E1G. [Also in Division F2] A fluid-pressure motor B for operating a turnout A is controlled by a reciprocating spool valve 33 (see Division F2) which is fluid pressure actuated under the control of a pair of shuttle valves operated by electromagnets 108, 110. The shuttle and spool valves both vent to atmosphere and the exhaust ports of the spool valve may be fitted with chokes in the form of bored plugs to reduce the speed of the motor.
