Abstract

1338882 Valves ADEOLA AG 14 June 1972 [23 July 1971] 27914/72 Heading F2V A control device for a pressure fluid actuator comprises a casing 1 having a cylindrical bore 2 with portions of smaller 2a and larger 2c diameter in which is mounted a reciprocable piston 16 with a larger end portion 16c, a smaller end portion 16a and a middle portion 16b of minimum diameter which defines an annular chamber which is in permanent communication with the atmosphere through port 23, which casing is provided with a port 11 which connects with port 4 and a port 14 which connects with the chamber for one extreme position of the piston while the port 11 connects with the chamber and the port 14 connects with a port 6 for the other extreme position of the piston. Ports 11 and 14 connect to either side of an actuating piston 13b. Port 5 is connected to a supply of compressed air and port 6 can be connected to the same supply or to exchaust by means of a 3 port 2 way valve 8. The casing is also provided with a by pass 25, 29, 26 which facilitates the rapid exhaustion of the upper part of the piston 13b in the downward movement (as shown) of the piston 16. A filter is provided at the exhaust port 23 which reduces noise.
