Abstract
1489862 Pneumatic control circuits EATON CORP 13 July 1976 [21 July 1975] 29038/76 Heading F1P A rotary air motor 13, Fig. 2, is controlled by a valve 31 which controls the speed by varying the air-pressure, and valves 27, 29 which determine the direction of rotation. The valves 31, 27 and 29 are manually operated and are located on a pendant supported from a hoist, Fig. 1, (not shown). Valves 27, 29 control pilot operated valves 59, 61 adjacent the motor. The pilot pressure from either one of valves 27, 29 is also applied to a valve 89 which releases a motor brake 109. Limit valves interrupt the pilot lines at the extreme ends of the travel of the lifting hook. Fig. 3, (not shown), illustrates an embodiment in which the pilot operated valves adjacent the motor are normally open rather than normally closed as in Fig. 2. Alternatively, the two valves may be replaced by a single valve, Fig. 4, (not shown).
