Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to easily set the vehicle speed at the time of low-speed engine operation, by decreasing the rate of the change in vehicle speed to that in the position of the accelerator pedal in case that an instruction for low-speed engine operation is detected.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs of low-speed operation switch 1 serving as means for detecting low-speed operation of engine, sensor 2 for detecting the position of accelerator pedal, and throttle opening sensor 3 are afforded to microcomputor 5, which in turn operates a throttle-valve driving actuator 8 by the aid of motor driving circuit 7 and controls the opening of throttle valve 9a. Here, arrangement is such that the opening of throttle valve 9a is controlled to decrease the rate of the change in vehicle speed to that in the position of the accelerator pedal in case that low-speed operation of engine is detected by the low-speed operation switch 1.
