Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the insertion of electrode through a through-hole by a method wherein the wire electrode is inserted into the through-hole of a work and drawn, moved to the other end in the manner that the tip of the wire electrode is not caused straining. CONSTITUTION:In order to give tension to a wire 7, the wire 7 is heated by a heater 26, the wire 7 is pinched by a magnet 25 and a head 4 is lifted. By this heating and drawing actions, the wire 7 at the heating part is extended and burnt out in a straight form and the extremity of the burnt-out wire electrode 7 is pulled up from a through hole of a work 11 with the lift of the head 4. Then, the work 11 is positioned for machining by numerical control for the purpose of the next machining and another through hole of the work 11 is coincided with the moving axis of the wire electrode 7. Then, the head 4 is dropped and the tip of the wire electrode 7 is inserted into this through hole. A capstan 12 and moving belt 16, 17 under the work are driven, wound up and moved. The work 11 is machined again by the moving wire electrode 7.
