Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the operation rate of annealing work and the thermal efficiency of annealing by electrifying a wound coil spring to anneal it during conveyance. CONSTITUTION:Two endless wire rods 2 are stretched between a pair of pulleys 1 and enabled to be electrified with electrifying unit 3. A wire rod supplied between the carrier side heads of rods 2 is wound by a predetermined diameter. When the wound rod reaches a preset length, it is cut with coil spring producing machine B, and coil spring S is supplied through shoot 5. Spring S is conveyed toward the carrier side tail while being supported between two rods 2. Spring S is electrified through rods 2, whereby it is heated by internal resistance heat and annealed. By this method spring S is automatically annealed during conveyance, preventing a conventional lowering in operation rate and a heat loss due to a temp. rise of an annealing furnace, etc.
