Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the operation rate of annealing work and the thermal efficiency of annealing by electrifying a wound coil spring to anneal it during conveyance. CONSTITUTION:Electrifying materials 2 are set at the middle of the opposite edges of parallel guide rails 1 leaving such a space that coil spring S to be annealed can not pass. Endless running body 3 whose carrier side faces to the tails of rails 1 from the heads is placed between rails 1, and body 3 is provided with kickers 4 conveying spring S while in contact with an end of spring S. A wire rod is wound by a predetermined diameter at the head side of rails 1 and cut to a preset length with coil spring producing machine B. Spring S is supplied onto rails 1 through shoot 5 and runs toward the tail side of rails 1. It contacts to materials 2, whereby it is electrified and annealed by internal resistance heat. Since the resistance heat is utilized without using an annealing furnace, superior operation rate and thermal efficiency are attained.
