CONSTITUTION: Toner supply device 10 is fixed to the upper part of developing device 9, and toner supplying shaft 22 is held rotatably in gap 21 formed at the lowest end of toner storage equipment 20 which is constituted by upper cover 20c and side plates 20a and 20b narrowed toward the bottom. A notch groove is formed on the surface of supply shaft 22, and the toner is gathered in this notch. Toner scraping plate 20f consisting of an elastic thin plate is pressed lightly to the surface of toner supply shaft 22 from the outside of the bottom of side plate 20b of storage part 20. When the paper is fed into feeding device 13 synchronously with the copying operation, toner supply shaft 22 is rotated and the toner gathered in the notch groove is supplied from bottom aperture 21 into developing device 9.
