Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a printed picture by providing a conductive member, which comes into contact with a fur brush, in an enclosure wall surrounding the fur brush and by applying a prescribed potential to it. CONSTITUTION:Condective member 4 is provided in enclosure wall 3 surrounding fur brush 2 and, while in contact with brush 2, grounded. Therefore, the brush 2 is held at the earth potential and charge generated by friction with latent image forming body 1 is removed in every rotation of brush 2, so that spark discharge lowering the picture quality will never occur. Further, conductive member 4 is held at a desired potential upon occasion to supply the desired potential to brush 2, so that the surface of latent image forming body 1 can be charged at a uniform potential. In addition, enclosure wall 3 may be made of a conductive material to form conductive member 4 in a body. Thus, the picture quality can be improved only by adding a simple member.
