1,103,844. Electro-photographic apparatus. ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORPORATION. June 3, 1965 [July 17, 1964], No.24194/67. Divided out of 1, 103, 843. Heading H. In an electrostatic copying machine employing sheets having a layer of photo-conductive material, a pile of sheets 16 to be printed are placed in a closed space formed by a tray 82 and a hinged flanged lid 72, the lid 72 carrying a sheet-like element 74 overlying the sheets 16, which element prevents moisture leaving the sheets and thus maintains the resistivity of the sheets within permissible limits. The element 74 consists of a flexible sheet of moisture impermeable material attached at one end 96 to the cover and at the other end to a casing part 88 fastened to the tray. The sheets, which, as supplied contain the required moisture content, are covered by the flexible sheet 74, which prevents drying out of the sheets. A gap 76 between the parts 84, 88 allows a sheet to be fed manually to feedrollers 78 when the lid 72 is raised.
