Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently recover arsenic from an arsenic-contg. soln. by carrying out extraction with dialkyl dithiophosphate having alkyl groups of a specified carbon number.
CONSTITUTION: An arsenic-contg. soln. is made acidic with sulfuric acid or the like and brought into contact with an org. solvent contg. dialkyl dithiophosphate having 8W10C alkyl groups as an extracting reagent. The extracting temp. is adjusted to 10W80, especially 20W60°C, and the contact time to 2W30, especially 5W10min. The arsenic extracted soln. is then brought into contact with an alkali soln. to recover the arsenic by back extraction.
