Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover the phosphoric acid component of liquid residue, as a high purity alkali phospate, obtd. by extracting crude phosphoric acid with an org. solvent, by adding an iron cpd. to the residue and regulating the pH and temp. of the cpd. added residue after which the resulting precipitate is treated with an alkaline substance and iron hydroxide is separated.
