CONSTITUTION:The frame 32 of the rotor spider having a side plate 24, a coupling plate 25 and a supporting member 26, etc. is divided into a plurality of segments, the divided segments are transported, and the segments are then welded at the field so that the integral rotor spider is formed thereat. The projection 30b of the key 30 for coupling the rotor spider to a laminated rim-shaped yoke 9 is increased in the amount corresponding to the size of the cutting margin, and after assembling the rotor spider, it is temporarily inserted into the keyway 26a, the pitch in a circumferential direction, axial breakdown and the size from the axial center are accurately measured, and the projection 30a is so cut as to couple the yoke 9 at an accurate pitch.
