PURPOSE:To improve the slit aligning accuracy of a stator core for an electric rotary machine by providing a plurality of projections on the circuit outer periphery of an iron plate, extruding recesses, engaging the recesses, and fixedly laminating the core. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of projections 7 are formed on the outer periphery 3 of a stator iron plate 4, and recesses 6 are respectively formed at the projections. Stator iron plates 4 are laminated while engaging the recesses 6, and are fixed to form a stator core. Since an insulating film is not damaged nor magnetic characteristic is not deteriorated when the recesses 6 are engaged and the projections 7 can be punched at the parts to be scrapped, it is economical.
