Abstract

PURPOSE:To inexpensively manufacture a stator for a rotary electric machine by spirally winding a strip steel plate punched slots to form a stator core and arranging a magnetic path with magnetic powder formed on the back surface of the core, thereby improving the yield of an electric steel plate. CONSTITUTION:A slot section 3 is punched at a strip steel plate, which is spirally edgewisely wound so that the slot section 3 is disposed inside, thereby forming a stator core 1. Then, a cylindrical core 5 formed by molding magnetic powder is engaged with the outer periphery back of the core 1, thereby forming a stator. In this manner, the yield can be improved as compared with a laminate formed by punching a circular stator core from an electric steel plate.
