PURPOSE:To decrease the wear of a punching mold and eliminate a burr of a core a core plate by a mechanism wherein the nose portions of a stator core groove are made tapered and corner portions are rounded when the stator core groove is punched and formed to an iron plate and a rotor iron plate is punched from the inner diameter. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of stator core grooves 54 are circularly punched to an iron plate. In this case, the slits 57 of the stator core grooves 54 are made up in tapered shapes so as to expand toward the groove opening sides, and roundness R is further formed at the corner portions of the noses. Rotor iron plates 55 are punched at the inner diameter sides while being punched as shown by a chain line, and grooves 54 are opened. Thus, since the diameters R of the roundness can be enlarged, the wear of a punching mold is decreased, and the burr of stator iron plates 56 after punching can also be diminshed.
