Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent buckling of a salient pole type rotor by a method wherein thickness of steel plates of a pole core is enlarged corresponding to approach the end plate side. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic pole of a rotor arranged facing with a stator 1 interposing a gap between them is constituted of the pole core 6 and a field coil 5, and is fixed on the outside circumference of a cylindrical yoke 4 formed in one body with a rotating shaft. Thickness of the steel plates of the pole core 6 is formed as to be enlarged corresponding to approach the end plate 9 side, namely formed as t1>t2>t3. Accordingly because thickness of the steel plate on the side being nearer to the end plate 9 of the pole core 6 having larger counter force becomes as larger, intensity thereof becomes as to enable to endure counter force sufficiently, and buckling can be prevented.
