Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect and branch a photoconductor cable without detracting bringing about a loss of light energy by forming the circumference of the connection part of the cable in a prescribed shape. CONSTITUTION:Solar energy collector 1 supplies energy L into photoconductor cable 6 by way of lens 2 and coupler 5 and it is transmitted to photoconductor cable 8 via connection part 7. In this case the sectional shapes of cables 6 and 8 are flattened near connection part 7 and while one-side clad surfaces 6a and 8a are eliminated, cores 6b and 8b are made uneven, so that they will be connected together with the opposite concave part and convex part coupled. Therefore, losses of the connection and branch can be eliminated.
