Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to constitute a coupler only with coplaner lines and slot lines, by inserting the slot line in series with the T-branch of coplaner lines as the 4-th line and constituting hybrid coupler with coplaner lines and slot lines. CONSTITUTION:The electric power incident from a terminal 1 is propagated in an odd mode of the coupling slot line being the basic propagation mode in the coplaner line 5 and branched to each line at the branch 9. In this case, at the branch 9, the production of an even mode of the coupling slot line at the lines 6 and 7, is suppressed with a bonding wire 10 connected between external conductors of the coplaner line 6 and a wire 11 connected between external conductors of the coplaner line 7, and the power is distributed to the lines 6 and 7 in the basic mode. On the other hand, the mode excited on the lines 6 and 7 is cancelled on the slot line 8 and not coupled to the slot line 8.
