Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a reduction for operation cost of the pump groups which are driven in parallel, by selecting a combination of the pump groups with which the overall power consumption may be minimized for all pump groups and thus giving an operation control to the pump groups.
CONSTITUTION: Both the range of the flow rate of discharged water and the coefficient P of the power consumption properties regarding each of pumps 4 are supplied to the process computer 1 via the input device 3 for setting of paremeter. At the same time, the desired total flow rate F of discharged water is supplied via the input/ourput device 2. Based on these information, the computer 1 selects the combinations of the working patterns of each pump so that the total power consumption of the hole pump groups may be minimum to the rate F, and at the same time decides the maximum flow rate of discharged water for each pump. Then the start/ stop is controlled for each pump to secure the desired flow rate F with the minimum power consumption and through the flow-out pipe line 6, thus realizing a reduction of operation cost.
