Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently limit the input to a hydraulically driven system, by decreasing the quantity of oil flowing out from a relief valve and reducing a loss of energy due to the generation of heat.
CONSTITUTION: When the load is applied to an actuator 3 and the pressure in a load circuit 6 rises to reach a point D from a point B as shown in the figure of characteristic curve, a hydraulic pump 2 is operated at load pressure p3, delivery flow rate q3 and swash plate angle θ3. If the pressure in the circuit 6 further rises from the point D to a point C, the pump 2 is operated at load pressure of maximum p1, delivery flow rate q4 and swash plate angle θ4. At this time, though the actuator 3 becomes a stall state where the delivery flow quantity by the swash plate angle θ4 of the pump 2 all passes through a relief valve 4 to generate heat, the setting of the before described point C to a position adjacent to a point p1 can lessen the swash plate angle θ4, accordingly the flow quantity q4 passing through the relief valve 4 is lessened to decrease the quantity of heat generated.
