PURPOSE:To demodulate the R-Y color difference signal with correct polarity, by controlling the selective polarity of the 1st switch circuit with the polarity of the burst detection output, so that the R-Y color difference signal with correct polarity is obtained. CONSTITUTION:Carrier chrominance signal is fed to one input terminal 22 of the 1st switch circuit 2. The circuit 2 is controlled with the control signal from a control circuit 4 and to the output terminal either one of two inputs is fed. Further, the output signal is fed to an R-Y demodulator 3. To one input terminal 23 of the 2nd switch circuit 7, R-Y demodulation reference subcarrier is fed. Moreover, subcarrier in which the polarity is inverted through the 180 deg. phase shifter 8 is fed to the input terminal 24.
