PURPOSE:To demodulate an exact R-Y color difference signal without controlling the phase of the line switch of fH/2, by switching the third and fourth signals which can be interlocked and switched, by means of a switching signal generated when the inputs of the discriminator are not matched. CONSTITUTION:The first and second switches 12, 16 which can be interlocked and switched are arranged, a chrominance signal of the PAL color TV signal, and an inverted chrominance signal are provided to the input terminal of the switch 12, and the output of the switch 12 is inputted to the R-Y demodulator 6. Also, the third and fourth switches 24, 28 which can be interlocked and switched are arranged, a chrominance subcarrier of R-Y axis, and a chrominance subcarrier of -(R-Y) axis are provided to inputs of the switches 24, 28, the output of the switch 24 is provided to the demodulator 6, and a burst signal contained in the TV signal is provided to the phase discriminator 17. Also, a horizontal pulse and an inverted horizontal pulse are provided to an input of the switch 28, the switches 28, 16 are cascaded, and the output of the switch 16 is provided to the discriminator 17.
